Gigi Hadid Goes See-Through At 2026 Met Gala

Gigi Hadid took a surprised look for the 2026 Met Gala celebration at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 04.

The model, 31, attends the 2026 Costume Institute benefit event or Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in an almost naked-body look. She channels a see-through lace gown that could almost see her nakedness underneath.

She arrived in a custom black, silver-white lace gown by Miumiu atelier. The gown is designed with embroidered patches of leaf and flame on the sides enough to cover the upper part of the body.  She wore it with no underneath on the top, and just her silver- white bikini on the bottom.

Hadid’s addressed her dress in an Instagram post as “Costume Art”- Body as Canvas. She described her designer Miumiu team whose immense talent, passion, and dedication were appreciated and celebrated with every step she took to showcase the work at the Gala night.

The backless cut of Gigi Hadid’s gown was intricately designed and it seamlessly flows to the floor wich features floral on the train.

Hadid’s dress is inspired from Miumiu’s  Summer 2011 collection.  She paired her dress with black heels.

The Met’s costume exhibit in NYC which the Met Gala celebrates is open from May 10, 2026 to January 10, 2027 and can be accessed through the General Admission of Metropolitan Museum of Art.
